Lava has recently released an entry-level smartphone — Lava Yuva 4. This comes after the release of the Lava Yuva 3, launched in February this year. The Lava Yuva 4 caters to entry-level users in the sub-Rs 7,000 category, offering budget-friendly features. It boasts a sleek design, essential specifications for everyday use, and a competitive price. Available in multiple colours, it aims to deliver value for money while meeting the needs of first-time smartphone users.
The Lava Yuva 4 is priced at an introductory Rs 6,999 for its base model featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the cost of the 4GB + 128GB variant remains undisclosed. Available in Glossy White, Glossy Purple, and Glossy Black, the smartphone is set to hit Lava’s retail stores this month.
Buyers will also benefit from a one-year warranty and complimentary home service with their purchase.
The Lava Yuva 4 features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring an enhanced viewing experience. Under the hood, it is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with 4GB RAM, providing reliable performance for everyday tasks. Users can choose between storage options, with up to 128GB of internal space available. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 14, offering an updated and user-friendly interface.
In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, delivering detailed and sharp images. For selfies and video calls, it includes an 8-megapixel front camera housed within a centrally positioned hole-punch cutout on the display.
Powering the device is a robust 5,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage throughout the day. It supports 10W wired charging, making it convenient to recharge. For added security, the Yuva 4 incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick and secure unlocking.
Designed with aesthetics in mind, the phone features a sleek, glossy back finish, giving it a premium look. The combination of practical features, modern design, and affordability makes the Lava Yuva 4 a compelling choice for entry-level smartphone users.
The Lava Yuva 4 retains the same display, processor, RAM, and storage capacity as its predecessor. But besides that, the design, camera enhancement, and charging support has improved. Its battery capacity remains the same but the charging speed is now downgraded to 10W from 18W. Software-wise, the Yuva 4 also ships with Android 14 and is guaranteed to get an Android 15 update. Meanwhile, the Yuva 3 running on Android 13 is said to be eligible for Android 14.
